Travel Policy
PURPOSE
This Policy sets out the expectations employees employed by Super Good Group (“The Company”) when undertaking short or long-distance travel to fulfil the requirements of their role. All employees may be required to undertake a reasonable amount of travel, given the nature of our business. The purpose of this Policy is to ensure the safety of employees travelling, provide guidance on reasonable travel distances and activities associated with travel, and set out rules regarding travel expenses and reimbursement.
In so far as this policy imposes any obligations on the Company, those obligations are not contractual and do not give rise to any contractual rights. To the extent that this policy describes benefits and entitlements for employees, they are discretionary in nature and are also not intended to be contractual. The terms and conditions of employment that are intended to be contractual are set out in an employee’s written employment contract.
The Company may unilaterally introduce, vary, remove or replace this policy at any time.

REASONABLE TRAVEL
Travel to and from usual places of work
Employees are generally responsible for meeting the costs of travel to and from their usual places of work, which might include commencing or finishing work at the Company’s premises or at client sites or other places, depending on the nature of their role.
If employees are required to undertake travel, the Company will endeavour to ensure that the employee’s personal circumstances are considered when directing employees to travel.
It is the responsibility of employees to ensure that if they consider local or long-distance travel would unreasonably impact them (i.e. their health, carer responsibilities etc.) that they inform Management as soon as possible to discuss the impacts this has on their role.
EXPENSES
If the Company agrees prior in writing, at times some cost of travel may be reimbursed.
Supporting documentation must include an itemised receipt and tax invoice showing GST, dates and the vendor details.
When employees may be required to make purchases whilst travelling, the most cost-efficient options should be selected. Excessive, erroneous or unreasonable spending may not be reimbursed.
Work Health & Safety
Work sites will vary depending on the projects employees are directed to attend. Employees are responsible for their own health and safety whilst travelling and attending remote worksites, and the provisions of this and other Company Policies apply whenever employees travel to and from work sites, and whilst employees are performing work on remote sites. Negligent and reckless conduct can have a detrimental effect on the business where employees cannot perform the requirements of their role due to injuries associated with such conduct. Employees must read and familiarize themselves with the Company WHS Policy and take reasonable precautions when carrying out work.
Injury and accident procedures
In the event of any illness or injury sustained by an employee (however minor), employees should inform Management as soon as possible, following the process in the Company’s WHS Policy.
If employees require medical treatment whilst travelling, or transportation to hospitals or medical centers, the costs will be covered by the Company. Employees must keep Management informed throughout the process who may contact the employee’s emergency contacts.
Any damage to Company property (including vehicles) must be reported to Management as soon as practical.
Where an accident occurs involving a vehicle employees must:
• stop immediately and notify Management, report the incident using the process set out in the Company’s WHS Policy
• report the accident to the police or other authorities, if appropriate
• consider whether it is safe to continue to operate the vehicle and seek guidance from Management as appropriate.
